Mohammad is an Electrical Engineer and an Account Executive with Schneider Electric, a global specialist in energy management and automation. Based out of Secuacus, NJ, Mohammad is responsible for both developing new accounts and maintaining existing accounts. He explains the lifecycle of a project, from meeting with designers through construction and finally post-completion client maintenance.

So my name's Muhammad Gibran. I work at Schneider Electric as an account executive. As an account executive, my responsibilities include developing strategic accounts as well as maintaining existing key strategic account management. Developer has a vision for a building to be built and constructed. This developer works with architects and consulting engineers to envision what this building is to look like and operate like on paper. And our role comes in in influencing the developer and the owner by introducing some of the technologies that we have to offer to ensure that this building is future-ready, future-compatible, and as energy-efficient as possible while attracting best tenants in the market. Hence, in return, these tenants can attract the best talent in the market. After the building's up and ready and the systems are installed and functional, these systems need to be maintained and configured according to the requirements of the occupants of these facilities and in the spaces within these buildings. It's no secret that green buildings is a... There's a big push for green buildings, not just here locally in our local market or domestically in the country but across the world. And so, we're at the forefront of leading the digital energy transformation for automating systems, ensuring that they're smart, that they're energy efficient, and that these buildings are operating in a fashion that is as green as possible. Most recently, we're working on a retrofit of a project in New York City, in Manhattan specifically. On Broadway, it's the headquarter building for one of the major retailers around the country. It's an older building that pretty much needs to be retrofitted with solutions that offer energy management, specifically around automation controls for HVAC systems to ensure that the building is operating at a high-efficiency while maintaining the comfort of their employees in the building and maintaining their top talent within their facility.
