>> My name is Rhiannon Giberson and I am the Director of Life Enrichment Services at Excentia. We provide supports for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. And I'm also an adjunct here at Millersville University teaching a class about social change. Lots of meetings, pretty much all day long. A lot of problem solving, dealing of personnel issues. And then I'd say a lot of trying to reach out to the community and make connections. I oversee nine different services. So throughout the day, there's a lot of different people that I'm trying to interact with. My department has 150 employees and we support over 350 individuals throughout the course of a year. So trying to keep everything in line and keeping the quality high is my top priority. Well, for my department we are focusing on looking towards employment. Pennsylvania is an employment first state, as a motto anyway, and we are looking at how we can start working towards getting the individuals we support into some sort of supported employment, and also how does that impact the other services that we have. So that's a huge project that we're looking at and working on, and takes my whole. As an organization, I'd say we're looking at how we can best support Lancaster County and really make sure we're meeting the needs of the County and the people within the County who would need our services. We are the only organization in Lancaster who supports individuals from birth through end of life. So we have a large range of services to offer and making sure we have the best quality. And if there's something that people need out there, that we're not doing, how can we do that. Another area that my department's focusing on is transition services for teenagers 18 to 21 who are still in school getting ready to graduate. How do we help them get into either employment or what are next steps for them after they graduate.
